Hero within

Stronger than news

Breaking news will break your heart if you don't listen properly. Don't let that happen. Have you seen how they repeat the same bad news every 30 minutes, or hour? Again and again, in our new global world, it's bad news from everywhere.

Soon you'll start lamenting "where all the good men gone?” Where is she fighting the rising odd? Where's the fast and strong hero? Is he on the front page? No! Is she on the 7 o’clock new? No!

The hero is around you. She's the friend that phoned to say "Hi". He's the teacher that had enough of your games and turned your attention in the right direction. She's the mother who held with love. He's the one who loved you. She's here, he's there, and they’re everywhere.

Can you see him? Did you find her? Every time you hear the breaking news, don't let it break your heart. Turn around and notice your heroes. See how you have been the silent hero too; fast, friendly, strict, gentle, strong, quick, swift, patient, a chum, pleasant, a defender of the weak, a companion, kind, calm, tall... and there’s many more adjectives.

Look hard and you'll see you’re a hero. Look hard and you’ll find your heroes.
